Länsförsäkringar Bank, forming part of the Länsförsäkringar Group, is the fifth largest bank in Sweden. It is a broad organization with numerous stakeholders both within and outside of the main association with a business volume amounting to SEK 214 billion on June 30th, 2010.

When one considers the extensive list of ongoing projects within the company Länsförsäkringar Group, it is evident that the availability, traceability and the overall quality of the newly developed products is absolutely vital for the ultimate success of the business.

A unified and more efficient technique of managing the testing processes, including specific requirements, testing and bug-tracking, was therefore necessary for the improvement of testing procedures at Länsförsäkringar Bank. In addition, it was also crucial to reduce the overall cost of the testing processes being managed.

Monica Sjöden from the Länsförsäkringar Bank claims that the solution was simple. She reports that the answer was to be found within the online service ReQtest. With an easy to use interface and simple configuration, the process of spreading in new projects was made virtually self-managing. Additionally, all the staff involved, including project and test managers, were able to save time and could focus on their central business rather than tool administration, therefore improving time-management and allowing for an emphasis on organization at Länsförsäkringar Bank.

“We have a great online collaboration with our suppliers thanks to ReQtest. As a bonus, the cost of ReQtest was significantly lower compared to tools from IBM, HP and other competitors.” – Monica Sjöden, Länsförsäkringar Bank

ReQtest allowed for “great collaboration with our suppliers” as Länsförsäkringar Bank’s Monica Sjöden says, revealing that ReQtest made it possible to collaborate with external suppliers without the trouble of setting up specific online requirements and installations. This allowed easy access to external clients, customers and suppliers who wished to access data and documents stored in ReQtest, which put any anxious minds at ease as information flow was easily accessible and monitored.

Reminding us that cost reduction was important for those at Länsförsäkringar Bank, Monica says that as an extra bonus, the cost of ReQtest was significantly lower when compared to tools offered by other competing services such as IBM and HP.
