News: Write better requirements with Reqtest AI

Writing clear and relevant requirements is one of the biggest challenges in digitalization projects. Now, Reqtest is launching AI functionality that makes it easier for both beginners and advanced users to create better requirements, faster. “We want to help organizations work smarter and more cost-effectively in their digitalization efforts,” says Henrik Andreasson, CEO at Reqtest.

A common reason for failed system implementations is poor requirements management. According to a customer survey conducted by Reqtest in 2024, 50% of respondents said they wanted more resources specifically dedicated to requirements.

“Good requirements are the foundation of a successful project. At the same time, we see that many organizations lack the key competencies needed to work in a structured and consistent way with requirements. That’s where AI can help lower the threshold and bridge the knowledge gap,” says Henrik.

Making It Easier to Get It Right

The ability to build clear requirements hierarchies and link requirements to tests and bug reports already exists in the Reqtest platform. The new AI functionality focuses instead on making it easier to generate and refine requirements during a project. Henrik explains:

“You can get help generating requirements from just a title, and you can also refine, improve, or condense existing requirements. On top of that, you can give the AI organization-wide instructions for structure and phrasing, so that everyone follows the same internal standard. This makes it easier for project members to get it right – even if they lack certain experience or expertise.”

The new AI functionality for requirements is only the beginning for Reqtest. The goal is to help users optimize every part of the quality assurance process.
